Andrew Tang

Mr. Tang, Managing Director of H&Q Asia Pacific Shanghai, is responsible for investing and monitoring portfolio companies in Greater China. Prior to joining H&Q Asia Pacific in 2011, Mr. Tang served as Principal at SAIF Partners in Beijing specializing in the clean tech, telecom, healthcare, display and mining industries. At SAIF Partners, Mr. Tang originated, closed and served as board member on notable deals such as China United Cleaning, PDL Pharmaceutical, OED, XinJiang HuaHong Mining, Sino-Agri Mining and Triangle Innovation Photoelectric. Prior to SAIF, he was Vice President of Technology and Business Development at Huawei-3Com Co., Ltd. in Hangzhou, and CTO and President of the International Business Division at Harbour Networks in Beijing. Mr. Tang brings over 15 years of operating and investment experience in China.

Mr. Tang received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at Beijing University, and a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
