Chareleson Zheng

Mr. Zheng, Managing Director of H&Q Asia Pacific Shanghai, is responsible for investing and monitoring portfolio companies in Greater China. Prior to joining H&Q Asia Pacific in 2011, Mr. Zheng served as a Vice Chairman and Vice President of Beijing Financial Assets Exchange. Prior to Beijing Financial Assets Exchange, he served as Partner at SAIF Partners in Beijing, Managing Partner of China Growth Capital, CEO and Founder of United Platform Technologies (China) Co., Ltd., Co-founder and COO of China Netcom, and President of Marconi (China). Mr. Zheng brings over 10 years of operating and investment experience in China.

Mr. Zheng received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Zhongshan University. He currently serves as Deputy Secretary-General of China Equity Investment Committee, Secretary-General of Beijing Private Equity Association, Chairman of the Peking University Private Equity Investment Union and Vice Chairman of China Oriental Asset Holdings Advisory Board under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC).
