Shigeaki Koga

Mr. Koga, Managing Director of H&Q Asia Pacific Japan, is responsible for investments in Japan. Mr. Koga joined H&QAP in 2001, bringing with him 26 years of experience with Sumitomo Trust & Banking Company, one of the most prestigious financial institutions in Japan. Mr. Koga has held various positions with Sumitomo, including General Manager of the Bank's Los Angeles branch, President & CEO of the company's US operations and his most recent position as President & CEO of Sumitomo's Asset Management Company in Tokyo. Over these 26 years, Mr. Koga has worked internationally in the areas of corporate finance, investment, global custody business and asset management business.

Mr. Koga graduated from Tohoku University, Japan and has completed a post-graduate course of Business Administration at INSEAD.
