GoRemote Internet Communications ("GRIC")
Leader in Secure Managed Virtual Business Network Services
In August 1996, H&QAP made its first investment in GRIC, a company founded in 1994, with the primary objective of offering Internet access services to middle market corporate customers.
GRIC refocused its efforts on the development of Internet infrastructure software in 1996 and formed an international ISP partnership.
GRIC completed an IPO on NASDAQ on December 15, 1999. H&QAP worked with GRIC to explore strategic relationships with leading
communications, hardware, IT consulting, and enterprise software companies for bundling and strategic co-sales opportunities in both the U.S. and Asia.
Combined, H&QAP-managed funds owned 22.7% of GRIC and realized 2.8 times
its invested capital.
